Traditional and comfortable
After many successful executions of the 645 and later the 660, the development didn’t cease. Kuperus puts a new boat on the market: the 875
The 875 is also developed from the traditional Frisian shipbuilding and realized with the most modern techniques of today.
The result makes a good impression.
The 660 stays a authentic open boat, the 875 is more focussed on the present-day wishes for comfort. At Kuperus that’s not only visible in the accessories, but it is already implemented from the first drawing of the boat.
The fuller stern makes the 875 fore and aft calmer and athwartship more stable, while the light listed bow results in a dryer deck.
But above all there are the many extra options of course, which give the customer the possibility to connect travelling by boat and unprecedented luxury.
The optional coach roof makes the ship even more suitable for an overnight stay and journeys of several days. Besides that in consultation with the buyer the 875 can be completed with a galley, a refrigerator, berths, a toilet, a sprayhood and countless other specific wishes.
A complete list of options can be acquired on its own. ( we would be more than willing to send it)
Furthermore there is always room for personal ideas and preferences.
You decide how complete your boat is going to be!
Quality
The hull and cockpit are completely made of GRP. Only Lloyd’s tested resins are processed.
The inside of the hull is provided with laminated ribs. The engine foundation is integrated in here. Through using the right number of ribs a great starchiness is reached, which is good for the boat’s behaviour. In this way we are capable to build strong boats, which require little maintenance. All the polyester work is done in Friesland. The total completion is done at our shipyard in Workum.
The Kuperus Sloep is examined by Lloyd’s Register and is build according to the CE-standard.
Technique
Motorial the 875 is equipped with a YANMAR 3YM20, 20 HP, 3 cylinder diesel intercooler. To exclude vibrations the engine is mounted on a heavy foundation. Through the slim underwater hull there is no need to use more engine power. The fixed engine already brings the boat at her maximum speed at 2.600 revolutions. More engine power would mean bigger waves, and not more speed. Building in a heavier engine is, according to the Kuperus-philosophy, not advisable. The propulsion of the screw occurs through a low-maintenance and environment-friendly water lubricated stainless steel propeller shaft system.
The thrust bearing is mounted between the engine and the propeller shaft. By doing so the thrust is directly transmitted to the engine foundation. In this way even the smallest, troublesome vibrations are removed. A heavy isolated engine chest is standard at our company because we believe that the enjoyment is mainly determined by the lack of noise. Both the stainless steel tank and the battery are mounted amidships.
Frisian craftsmanship
The Kuperus boats have proven their good name throughout the years. Originated from Harlingen, the clinker-built boat is developed for the Dutch Waddencoast. This pure Frisian origin can be found in appearance and seaworthiness. It is not only a beautifully classical lined sloop to see; besides that the construction and shape give her the well known and renowned seaworthy behaviour.
A Kuperus boat stays from the first till the last moment a possession to be proud of!
